The state property defines what service state the node is in within the context of the network. It can take one of four different states. If it is disabled, it does not service any requests; if it is unresponsive it cannot be reached by a hub; if it is unspecified it is in an invalid state and if it is enabled it is functional and servicing requests.

Example:

enabled | disabled | unresponsive | unspecified
